Origin has a built-in language, called LabTalk, which has access to Origin's graphing and analysis capabilities. By using OriginPro's Dialog Builder feature, one can create sophisticated user interfaces for standard versions of Origin, and program their operation with LabTalk.
Many sophisticated utilities can be built on top of Origin. They can range from simple batch processing utilities, to a custom graphing and analysis software package with specialized menus, dialog boxes, wizards, and data analysis routines.
Since Origin 6.1 offers the ability to pack up all related add-on files, such as templates, LabTalk scripts, and Dialog Builder interfaces into a single file, one can easily share such custom developments. Users can simply drag-and-drop this single file onto their Origin workspace to install.
This forum offers the option to automatically notify submitters via email whenever someone posts a reply to their topic. Since people tend to program solutions to tasks in different ways, I am sure that this forum will generate many useful ideas for many Origin developers.
