Hi everyone,
Is the Stat object able to do weighted mean.
e.g. you got different grades with different different weight, how could I get the mean and the standard deviation. I tryed to use Stat.DS. but it isn't taking the weight in account.
Thanks.

Cray,

The ability to weight this type of statistical calculation is not currently possible in Origin. However, it should be easy to create a LabTalk script. We are very interested in working with you on this since these are the types of applications we hope to add to future releases.

If possible, could you please contact us by e-mail to discuss this further? To speed up our correspondence, the following items should be included:

  1. My name (Ryan) in the subject heading

  2. Your Serial Number

  3. A Sample Data File

  4. A description of the calculation you want to perform. If you can provide any additional details (beyone those included in the forum post), that would be great.

Please note that your usual contact for technical support should be our distributor in France. For their contact information, go to:

Sincerely,
