I have a set of x,y,z data that is not uniformly spaced. To convert to a matrix suitable for 3d plotting, I can select the z column and then do edit:convert to matrix:random xyz and then select the appropriate options.

However, I have the same data in an Excel spreadsheet in the form of a matrix (with the x and y values at the left and top of the matrix). Is there anyway I can perform the 2d interpolation directly on this matrix, without first retyping the data into an Origin worksheet and then doing the random xyz option?

Hmmm, hope this makes some sort of sense to someone out there! Thanks.
Andrew
