Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): pro 8.6
Operating System:windows7

I am trying to quickly explore my data (working in a single graph) by masking out all but a small region and then fitting that region with the quick peakfit (gadgets --> quickfit --> gauss). I then want to get rid of that mask, and mask away everything but a different peak, then fit this new peak. I cannot figure out how to clear the masking there in the graph or in the actual data column... help?

The gadget will only work on the region covered by the yellow rectangle. So you don't need to mask regions outside the yellow rectangle.

Or do you mean you want to cover some sub-region within the yellow rectangle?

On Tools toolbar, there is Regional Mask Tool.

U can click the little triangle button to show 4 buttons that belong to the group.
1. Select the 1st button, you can then drag a region in the graph and mask data inside the region.
2. Select the 3rd button, you can then drag a region in the graph. All masked data in the region will be unmasked.

Thanks, Snow Li

Ha! The problem is that I am too stupid to realize that the yellow rectangle can be moved. The yellow box is the mask that I wanted. Thanks. J
