Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.6.0G (32-bit) Sr3
Operating System: Windwos 7

Dear forum memebers,

I have a huge problem using the impFile X-function. Everytime when I try to call this function out of the command window or a script Origin starts to open new worksheet windows endlessly and I have to quit the program using the taskbar. After several times of doing so some "magic" happens and it suddenly starts to work for the rest of the day. However, the next day the whole story starts over again...
Does anyone have a solution how to solve this problem?
Thank you very much for helping!

Smith

You should send your filter and the code you used for 'impfile' to tech@originlab.com. If you have saved your own ORIGIN.OTW (in the User Files Folder), send that as well.

I suggest that it is not a problem of the code because if I just type "impfile" into the command window the same thing happens. Other import X-Functions such as impasc works without any problems.

Then try removing Origin and re-installing.
