Origin Ver. 8 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Win 8

I am wondering how to draw Higgs like histograms in Origin. This is what I mean:

I have a data of ten 'points', on the y axes is the value of event (in my case muon decay, not Higgs but still :D), and on the x axes is the time (from 1-10 \mu s basically). Now, only thing similar to the above picture I've managed to get is this:

But, as you can see, at the end, I don't get the closed curve (vertically down). I've used Plot->Line->Horizontal Step.

Can I get sth like in the picture above?

Hi,

If all you want is to have the last step close down the axis you have a couple of options. First, you could scale the Y-axis so that it begins at the same point at which your data ends. You could also add an extra data point with a y value of 0 to close the line.

Let me know if I misunderstood your question or can help in any other way.

I later on realized my y axis is shifted, when I put the starting value at 0 it looks ok :) Also thanks for the empty point trick, it will come in handy :)

Thank you
