Origin Ver.: 8.1 and Service Release: 3
Operating System: Windows 7

Hello. I am very new to Origin so my apologies if this is an already discussed topic in the Forum.

I can't display the FULL square root symbol on an axis. I want the y-label to be "square root(tau)".

I found this online: \f:Symbol(\(40)\g(t)\(41)).

However, the symbol that is displayed when I use this command is not the complete square root symbol. The orizontal line at the top of the symbol is missing.

So the question is: Is there a way to display the COMPLETE square root symbol on a graph?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,

Alex

Assuming there is no way of using the sqrt symbol exactly as you wish, raising tau to the 1/2 power would be equivalent and acceptable.

Hi,

You can go to Edit > Insert New Object... and select Microsoft Equation 3.0. From there you will be able to build the equation.

Hi
You can simply right-click while writing on X-axis or Y-axis and select symbol map, then select your desired symbol from the list.
