Hallo,

following problems:

I need to import ASCII-Files which were created with MassLynx (mass spectrometry software). The file contains 24 mass traces which means that it actually contains 24 single plots. How can I seperate them automatically?

Second problem:

The design makes it (for me) impossible to import the ASCII-file with the import manager.

Here an example (I only need the retention time (bold) and the intensity (bold, under the retention time):

FUNCTION 1

Scan 1
Retention Time 12.010

215.0000 74

Scan 2
Retention Time 12.131

215.0000 67

Scan 3
Retention Time 12.252

215.0000 89

Scan 4
Retention Time 12.373

215.0000 84

Scan 5
Retention Time 12.494

215.0000 94

Scan 6
Retention Time 12.616

215.0000 58

Scan 7
Retention Time 12.737

215.0000 61

Scan 8
Retention Time 12.858

215.0000 63

FUNCTION 2

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

Are all the traces in same column? How are they separated to tell another trace starts?

Maybe it's easier for us to see if import can split it by looking at your data or an example of your data. Could you email your data which description of what you expect the imported data to be to tech@originlab.com?

If import couldn't split it, Origin also has Worksheet: Split Worksheet, Worksheet Query, etc. tools to reorganize the data.

Thanks, Snow
