Hi,

I'm new to Origin, and I've got a rather basic question about binning large datasets. I've got a dataset where I have a large number of x values (appr. 30000), with corresponding y values. Now I would like to test different x bin sizes to see when I can discriminate statistically significant populations in the y values and shifts in these.
I've got a problem with the first step, already, though :( How do I bin my dataset for a specific (fixed) x range, and obtain the summed y values for these bins - e.g. the sum of the y values for the first 100 x values, then the sum of the y values for the second 100 x values and so on.

Hope someone get help me get started! Thanks a lot!
Iva
