Hi,

What will be the custom formula (and its inverse formula) for scaling on X axis for the following values:
100, 125, 150, 750, 1350, 1950, 2550, 3150

Thanks
Prashant

Hi Prashant,
If you have data set like the following:

Double click on the Y axis to bring up the dialog box and choose Custom Formula as Type under Y Axis:Scale. Input Direct Formula, Inverse Formula as shown in figure below and choose Major Ticks Type as By Dataset and select column A as input.

You will have the label like the figure below:

Hello Sean

Thank you very much for your prompt response. However, I am afraid that I am still facing the issue.

Following is an example data which I wish to plot as column graph:

I wish to obtain a graph like this -

In OriginLab, if I use linear scaling in x-axes I get the following -

I tried custom formula for scaling on x-axes, as shown below -

However, I get the following plot -

Kindly advise if I am doing something wrong.

Thanks
Prashant

Hello,

Thank you for sending the data and expected graph. It looks you just want to make sure all x values show as tick labels in order.

Select column A and choose Column: Set as Categorical and then highlight column B, C and D to plot column graph will do the trick.

When setting a column as categorical, it will treat the column as text and enough unique value will be mapped to a number from 1 to N. Tick labels will be categorical and read from the categorical column. You can see it from Tick Labels: Bottom subnode of Axis db.

Then you can customize your Y axis to be log10, and also double click plot to customize the fill color list on Group tab.

Thanks, Snow Li
