Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.0 SR2
Operating System: Win 7

Hallo Originforum,

at first I want to thank you for the patient and extensive support you're giving to us users of Origin.
So far, I could use this forum to solve all my labtalk issues.
Now, however, I encountered a problem I am not able to solve.

For an analysis I have to calculate the standard deviation of many datasets. For this I am using the following commands:

STAT.DS.DATA$ = %(%H,2); //choose column 2 of active dataset
STAT.DS();
mean=stat.DS.mean;
sdev=stat.DS.sd;

At first, it worked for several datasets.
Then I started to get sdevs of 0.
The following steps did not help:
-stat.reset()
-restarting the computer
-restarting and working directly on a minimum example (see attached screenshot)

Thanks for your help in advance.
Your help is very appreciated!

Best regards,
Bastian

Sorry, I'll reply to myself. I searched for a long time before I decided to ask here. But only after I posted I found the right search string to get the solution to my problem.

As pointed out here: http://www.originlab.de/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1975
using
stat.ds.more=1;
enables the advanced statistics and solved my problem

Just following up...

I have checked the value of stat.ds.more in Origin 9.0/9.1, and it is already set to 1 as the default.
