Origin Ver. 9.1 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Windows 7

Hello,

I created a 2D contour plot with vertical and horizontal profile lines (see attached screen shot). The interval of y values is not evenly spaced (see line "Y coordinate" in Book1). However, the vertical profile uses an evenly spaced interval (see column A in "ProfileData"). How does Origin choose these values? Can I force it to take my pre-defined interval? This would allow to show a vertical profile, which has the actually measured values at my pre-defined intervals (of course with interpolated values in between).

Hope someone can help!
Thanks!

Matthias

Hi,

There is no way to specify X value for profile line directly.
But you can use Analysis: Mathematics: Interpolate/Extrapolate Y from X to get what you want after you got the ProfileData workbook.
