Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 9.0
Operating System:windows 7
How do you draw tangents to a curve in Origin Lab 9.0? And how could you find the gradient of that tangent?

OriginLab has a Tangent Gadget on the File Exchange. But it is for Origin 9.1:

There is another Tangent tool in the File Exchange that is for older versions of Origin but it may still work with 9.0:

The Tangent Gadget on the File Exchange for version 9.1 downloads easily enough onto Origin but nothing happens if you click on it..

When a graph is active, you should have a Tangent option on your Gadgets menu.
