Origin Ver.7.5 SR0
WinXP

I would like to ignore the first character on every line in an ascii file import.

The first column contains just one character, a letter S or B, but the problem is that at high row numbers the second column becomes so large that is reaches the first column so that there is no space between. At this point, Origin filters see the space after the second column as the first delimiter, and all of my columns are shifted to the left.

Is there any way to use the Origin filters or Origin C to ignore only the first character of each line?

Thanks

If you know how many data fields there are in each row, you can write a solution to this problem using the sscanf function ...
