Origin Ver. and Service Release : OriginPro 9.1
Operating System: Win 7 Professional 64-Bit

Hello Guys!

Its been several hours now and I still dont get it.
I want to fit linear. I have several points with error bars just as usual.
My Idea is to have straight line which goes from the bottom of a error bar to the top of a different one.

Just like in the Picture (Red line. I draw that line by myself without fitting it).
Can anybody please help me? Im going Crazy!

You could define 2 data points (x1, y1-yerr2) and (x2, y2 + yerr2) and plot these 2 data points as a line plot.

Thanks for your answer.

But how do I exactly define two data points and plot these as a line plot?

Could you please give me a short instruction? Actually i would find out that by myself but i am running out of time. I need this for my homework.

For Example
Lets say i have one Workbook with one sheet and 3 Columns like:
A(x) B(Y) C(yEr+-)
5,6 28,4 5,32917
5,8 46,2 6,79706
6 104 10,19804
6,2 179,6 13,40149
6,4 235 15,32971
6,6 280,4 16,74515

After plotting these as a line+ symbol graph , how do i define two data points and plot these as a line plot?

Suppose you have the first data point (4, 4) with Y error 0.5, and the end data point (10, 10) with Y error 0.6, then you could create a new worksheet and define two rows like:

4 3.5
10 10.6

in which 3.5 = 4 - 0.5 and 10.6 = 10 + 0.6

Then use these XY points to create a line plot, or add the line plot into the error bar plot with Plot Setup or Layer Contents dialog.

With your data, you need to determine which two data points to be connected, suppose it is the first and last, then those two data points should be:

5,6 28,4 - 5,32917
6,6 280,4 + 16,74515
