Hello. I have to do a Poisson Fit to a few points of data. However, when I go to Analysis -> Fitting -> Non-linear Curve Fit and select Poisson fit, it doesn't fit to my data. I just have 4 points, but even if I increase the numbrer of points of data it stays the same. I've seen another post related to the same doubt but it adressed to scripts and I don't really know how to use that. Thanks!

Hi,

I afraid I am not sure what leading fitting unsuccessful as your description.

The reason maybe:
1. The number of data points is still too little.
2. The fitting function is not suitable for the dataset.
3. The initial value for the parameter is not suitable for the dataset, and so on.

I suggest you can send your project file (.OPJ), another post you mentioned and you serial number to our Tech Support department (tech@originlab.com).
Then we could try to look into the problem?

Thanks
Jacqueline

I only have 4 points, so maybe that's it. I don't need it anymore though, a friend of mine managed to do the fit in Matlab.
Thanks anyway!!! :)
