Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 9.00
Operating System: Windows 7

Hi all,

I can not find a way to customise a colour for bar chart fills and line graphs, other than selecting the predefined ones in the palette. I would really appreciate some help. Whenever I click "custom" under the "Color" tab it just goes to black.

Thanks

Hi Oritech,

> Whenever I click "custom" under the "Color" tab it just goes to black.

You need to click the "..." button at the right side of "Custom". This shows the Color dialog to create/choose a custom color. Make sure that you press "Define Custom Colors>>" button in the dialog, and you control the luminosity(=brightness) by the vertical slide bar at the right. See the screenshot below:

Hope this helps.

P.S. The above procedure works in Origin 9.1, or later. In Origin 9.0, you have to right-click the selected field of "Custom" to show the Color dialog box.

Thanks, I see I needed to right click as I don't have the dots button on my version. Thank-you. I have spent a while trying to work this out.
