Hi,
If i provide a 3D-Plot with the function “Random XYZ”, the x-axis is extended by 50 and the y-axis around 20. But there are no measuring points to plot. What can I do against it?

Do you mean that you have converted XYZ worksheet data to a matrix using the Edit: Convert to Matrix: Random XYZ menu? If so, once you have converted your XYZ data to a matrix, the X and Y coordinates are stored internally. To alter them, select Matrix: Set Dimensions. If you want to plot your matrix, select the Plot (fomerly Plot3D) menu and then the desired plot type. The Z data in the matrix will then plot against the X and Y ranges as set in the Matrix Dimensions dialog. Once the plot comes up, you can change the axis scales by selecting the Format: Axes menu. Then select either X Axis, Y Axis, or Z Axis. Finally, change the From and To values on the Scale tab.
If I have misunderstood your question, you'll need to explain it with more details. It would be best if you mention specific Origin menus you have selected. It would also be helpful if you could explain what you mean by "measuring points". Do you mean Z values? If they are not showing up in the matrix, you should send in your data to your local technical support representative (Additive). Their contact info can be found on the OriginLab Distributors page.
