Hi all,

I am new here :)
I am struggling with Origin lately and I thought that writing directly in the official forum might be kind of help.

I am trying to perform a simultaneous fit of the same function on different datasets but I am not completely satisfied by the result.

I try to summary my problem in the following:
I am using Origin C.
My function is something like f(x,y,z,A,B,C,...) so it depends on 3 independent variables (x,y and z) and a list of parameters that I would like to fit (A,B,C etc).
My datasets are always of the type f(x,k1,k2,A,B,C,..) or f(k1,y,k2,A,B,C,..) so there is always 1 free variable and the others 2 are fixed.

My datasets don't have the same number of elements so if I try to fit them simultaneously then Origin stops at the lowest dimension array. I tried to sneak out of this issue by cyclically 'copying' the shortest dataset on the worksheet so that at least I have the same size for the datasets. I can indeed fit my functions if I do this but the results of the fit are not really satisfying and I was wondering if there is a clever way to do this kind of fit. Global fitting I understand is not really a solution for me because it is useful only for functions of 1 variable that share parameters over datasets and that is not my case unfortunately.

Thanks anyone for the help.

I am using OriginPro 9.1.0 Sr2 on Windows 7.
