Hi,

I was wondering if there are easy ways to mark the area between two curves (for example two circles). Also are there easy ways to calculate the area between the two curves (circles)?

I have used the parametric equations to plot intersecting circles. For better visualization, it would be great if I could give a pattern to the intersecting areas. See the attached plot. I would like to mark the area between circles 1 and 2, as well as the area between circles 1 and 3. By determining the areas, would like to show visually how larger one is than the other.

I am not looking for programming methods and writing scripts. That is why I asked if there are easy ways to do so.

Hi Saeid,

We tried various things via the GUI and were not able to fill in just the areas you are interested in filling in.

The best we could come up with is to suggest that you use "Fill Area Under Curves" for the lines for your various curves. Then choose a pattern and apply varying transparencies.

Thank you for prompt response. I used the following link to try the "Fill Area ...", but didn't get much success. Is it the right place to look?

We tried to use the various options to fill areas between curves ourselves and didn't have success with them using your type of plotting. Sorry.
