Origin Ver. and Service Release: OriginPro 2016
Operating System: Windows 7

I am new the OriginLab however I am having a significant issue getting fitting parameters to appear on my graphs. I have 3D + Zerror data that I use the "Plot --> 3D Scatter + Error" then select the data in the plot and use "Analysis --> Fitting --> Nonlinear Surface Fitting" using my own equation with xyz data and 3 fitting parameters. The surface is applied to the graph and a corresponding data sheet is created in the workbook BUT the results of the fitting to the 3 parameters is not included on the graph. When I try and copy the table from the data sheet in the workbook and paste it into the graph, a separate "Table 3" is created rather than it being added to "Graph 1". I've also tried copying the table to excel and importing it as a figure (to be applied to my graph) but that wont work either. I am at my wit's end with this and every help forum and documentation simply says the data should be included on the graph of its super easy to just copy/paste it in. Please help!
Thank you.

Hello,

Sorry that we don't support adding table in 3D graph.

But here is a workaround.

Go to the result sheet and right click the table you want to copy, and choose Copy Table. Or highlight part of table and ctrl+C.

Then in Graph window, Click the T (add text) button on left side of Origin workspace
Click once in graph window
--> U will see a cursor blinking for you to enter text.
Ctrl+V to paste the table.

It will have no grids, etc.

Click Outside so you are out of the editing mode.
Click on the text and drag the handles to resize it.
Double click on it to go to in-place edit mode to edit further. You can use the Format toolbar to color text.

Thanks, Snow Li

Thank you for your response. It is unfortunate that this functionality is not available with 3D graphs. Does this extend to pasting an outside image on the 3D graphs?

Yes. our 3D graph is openGL based by default and it doesn't support outside image either.
If you right click in gray area, you can see Insert Image... and Add Table context menus are grayed out.

What kind of image you want to add into the 3D graph?

If you really need the image and table in 3D Graph and don't mind the speed and effect of 3D graph, you can turn openGL off.

Choose Window: Script Window.
Enter
@ogl=0 //press ENTER to turn openGL off in current Origin session.

This will turn openGL off.
Then if you select Z data to plot 3D Graph. It's not OpenGL based.
Then do a fitting. Your fitting result will show in graph and also you can insert image in it.

Thanks, Snow
