Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro2015, b9.2.214
Operating System: Windows 7

Hello,

i have a scatter plot with a user defined color map. I want to change the size of the data points without changing the size of the data points in the graph. I came across the option to modify the legend entries individually. However i want the legend entries to have the same color as the corresponding data points in the graph. Is there a way to do this?

Best wishes
Jan

Hi Jan,

To set the size of data points in legend, you can try the code below in Object Properties dialog to control the symbol size in legend:

Then the size of the legend symbol size of first plot in current layer will be set to 100.

More explanation about the syntax, please refer to this page: http://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/ref/Legend-Substitution-Notation

Since 2016 SR0, we have supported to make the legend text follow the legend symbol color, you can see details here, http://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/same-text-and-symbol-color-in-legend
You can download our trail to have a try, http://www.originlab.com/demodownload.aspx

Considering you are using 2015, how about changing the legend text color manually by Font Color button in the Format toolbar?

Thanks,
Shirley
