Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2016
Operating System:7

Hi,

Could anyone help me with a few issues ?

I have files with different format (ascii, csv, xls).
Depending on which device they come from, I already have many different filters, importing them correctly and launching the appropriate scripts.

Now, I'd like to build a GETN dialog with the following features:
- select one or more files
--> how to filter the file types ?
with: tn.SetAttribute(STR_COMBO_ATTRIB, "...Files:[ASCII (*.txt)] *.txt|[Contrex (*.ctm)] *.ctm|[Excel (*.xls)] *.xls");
I can have a list to select a specific file type how to allow all of them at once ?

- pre-load the 50 first lines, so depending on the headers I will found, hide/show various controls.
I know how to import into a wks but is it possible to import the data into some kind of loose wks so nothing appears in the workspace ?
As for searching for headers and hiding/showing controls, I think I can handle it.

Thanks a lot
