Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5.0 SR0
Operating System: Windows 7

Hi,

Is there a way of extremising a loop or spiral in two dimensions? I have the hysteresis curve below, and would like to extract the initial magnetisation curve from it? (Original data are the black points; I've sketched in the red curve by hand to give an idea of what I'd like Origin to do for me.)

Many thanks,

Ed

Hi,

I think we had met same requirement before from another user(He was asking for the skeleton curve for his Hysteresis loops.).

After the discussion in our support share meeting, we had already submitted a jira(RSRCH-520) to follow up such demand. That means we haven't had a good solution yet, but our expert have been looking into it and we hope it will be implemented soon.

To help us do further researches on this feature, could you be kind to send us some sample data(via tech@originlab.com)? Any response from you will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

Thanks for your reply. I've sent you an email containing the data plotted in the screenshot.

Thanks again,

Ed
