Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2016 Operating System: Windows 7
Hi everybody! I am an Origin newbie. I am trying to plot a 3d surface over a nonuniform XY matrix. I have a set of XYZ points and I want to plot a surface interpolating them. As a simple example, let's say that my points are:
X | Y | Z -5|3.1|-2.1 -5|2.6|-1.9 0 |3.2|-3.3 0 |2.7|-2.5 0 |2.2|-2.0 5 |3.1|-4.0 5 |2.6|-3.5 5 |2.1|-2.8 5 |1.7|-2.1
Moreover, my Z values are representing a logarithm, so I can not use a simple linear interpolation which would give me positive values. I do not know if it could be possible to truncate the surface for example at Z=-1.8. Thank you very much in advance.
