Hello!
I am trying to make contour profiles using OriginPro 2015 (32-bit) b9.2.257 and Service Release 1 on Win7. I have made one working contour profile and saved it as a template. Then I used the template to make another contour profile in the same project file. I noticed that by doing this, I plotted the correct contour plot, but the profiles did not match this contour, but were the same as the profiles from the plot that I used to make the template. When I moved the contour lines in one of the two contour-profile plots, on both plots the profiles changed. Is this a bug in the programme and is there any way to overcome this problem?
Also, I noticed that whenever I change to another folder and return to the folder with the contour-profiles, the y-axis scale of the profile plots changes. Is there a way to fix the scale to the values that I want?
Thanks for your help! |

Hi queeni80,
It seems the line plots in the upper and right panels always refer to the dataset in the predetermined worksheets and workbook with unique names, though their curves are created from the main panel dynamically later. I guess you have replaced only the datasets in the main panel via Plot Setup (or Layer Contents) dialog, right? Probably this is the cause of the complication. (From a matrix, there seems no problem.) If you create a new contour profile from the highlighted XYZ columns, it should make a consistent profile, I think. Does this work?

Hi Hideo Fujii,
Thank you for your reply. Actually, what I did was saving the first contour profile as a template. The next graph I made by clicking on the Matrix, then going to Plot->User Defined->My Template. Is this what you proposed to do?

Hi queeni80,
Oh okay, the graph came from a matrix. And, yes, that is the way I suggest. As far as I tried the procedure in Origin 2015 on my machine, it works. (I needed to press "Profile..." button at the top right corner of the graph to trigger the creation of profile curves.)

Okay, so I guess there is just something wrong with my installation or so. I guess there is no help? |
