I am new at this and could use some help. I am always importing ASCII data from our data aquisition system. I have made up a template to get the x,y axis labelled and defined labels to identify each channel. The problem is the label always defaults to \l(1) %(1),\l(2) %(2),etc. which overrides my text descriptions that I saved with the template. I am always importing 12 channels of data, so I like to have everything the same: x,y scale, colors, labels. Is there an easy way to specify all this in the .ini file(s)?

Thanks

Have you tried Other Options in the ASCII Options dialog? In particular, I would uncheck "Rename columns if 1st line contains labels" and maybe "Create column labels from header". Remember to Update Options and save your template when done.
