I assume that what you really want is to add another OPJ to the existing project. This can be done using File : Append.

If you really want to Open a new project without a save prompt - which comes up because a project has been modified and should be saved - then you have to first select File : Close (which brings up the prompt anyway) or take the rather silly step of running this script:

doc -s

which clears the 'dirty flag' and lets you Open any project without prompting.

Hi Greg,

thank's for helping a blind man!
You are right when you say, that my original intension is not just to close a file. What I really want is to copy some worksheets from one file to another. The only way I see is to close the "target" file (after saving it), open one "source" file, export the important worksheets, close this file without saving, re-open the target file and import the worksheets. This is a stupid way for such a transfer, but I don't see a better one. If you do, would be happy to change this procedure.

Have a nice weekend
Peter

Hi Peter,

If you want to copy something from project A to project B then Greg's first suggestion is an easy way to do it without even closing B. Append A to B as a new folder, find what you need and drag it out, and then delete the folder.
