hi,
I have I graph wih the inverse of distance as a x variable and I'd like to see the corresponding value of the distance (1/x) in the top X axe. I tried to create a X top linked axe and introduce the equation x1=1/x in the Plot Details dialog box. The problem is that the values of x and 1/x do not correspond.

One way to do this is to create a new Y column, set its values to the inverse of the X column values and set its Format to Text&Numeric. Then

1> Plot Details->Tick Labels.
2> Select top axis and check Show Major Labels.
3> Type=Text from Dataset
4> Dataset=new column

To make the top labels readable you may have to return to the worksheet and adjust the Numeric Display properties of the top axis labels column to show only 2 or 3 significant digits. Then go back to Plot Details and Apply. (Or just click the Refresh button.)
