We currently have 4 node locked licenses for 4 persons. In addition we have one license that is locked to a USB dongle. This one is used to run Origin on measurement instruments in our lab, e.g. an oscilloscope or a network analyzer. This helps us to directly acquire the dtata on the instrument into an origin file.
When I extended our support contract for another 3 years this January I was told that the dongle version will be dicontinued and there's on other solution for it. Is this true?
We cannot buy a node locked license for each instrument (4 oscilloscopes, 4 network analyzers, 1 logic analyzer and 2 test recervers) as it is only used sometimes. Network floating license cannot be used as the instruments must not beconnected to the companies network for security reasons. Dongle was perfect for this. Any suggestions what to do?
