Hi,

I have a series of spectroscopy data that I would like to display in a stacked plot. I have found a couple of guides online however I cannot seem to make it work. For example when plotted, in the plot details window there is a tab named stack but changing any/all of the options it shows does not stack the plots or allow me to apply any offset. The plots remain on top of one another. The plots are held in the same layer as I think they should be (unless plots grouped means something different then plots on same layer).

Any help will be appreciated

Origin pro 2016 (64-bit). and Service Release 2. Operating System: windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,
1. If you want to plot the stack plot by Y Offsets in one layer, you can highlight the Y columns and select “Plot: Y-offset/Waterfall: Stacked Lines by Y Offsets”.

Then in the “Plot Details” dialog, you can control Y offsets for each plot.

If you want to plot the Stack Graph and the plots are in different layers, you can highlight your datasets and select “Plot: Multi-Panel: Stack....”

Please note, the “Stack” tab (in “Plot Details” dialog) for each layer just can control the offset state for plots in “that” layer.

Also, you can send your Origin project file to our Tech Support department tech@originlab.com, and show us more detail about the graph you want. Then we could try to reproduce the issue.
