I would like to do reasearch using PCA (Principal Components Analysis) and PLS (Partial Least Squares) with IR spectra in SPA.

How can I do that?

I would like to detect corn syrup in honey.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

To use PCA for spectroscopy we provide an APP for this analysis http://www.originlab.com/fileExchange/details.aspx?fid=326. For using PLS refer to the tutorial http://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/Partial-Least-Squares.

Hopefully this helps,

Hello,

Thank you very much for your help.

I would like to know if the PCASpectra App can be used with Origin Pro 2016. Also, if it can open SPA files.

Kind regards,

Hi,

You will need OrignLab Pro 2017 to use the PCASepctra App. OriginLab does not open SPA files, file types for spectroscopy that OriginLab can open are:
Thermo Scientific (SPC,CGM)
J-CAMP (DX, DX1, JDX, JCM)
Princeton Instruments (SPE)

See link for importing the file types listed above.
