Hi,

I'm getting really confused now from help and emails wrt OP files and would appreciate the assist / confimration of my perceptions below :

I think I have no problems attaching Origin C files to projects. My understanding is that these are compiled the first time a project is opened and put into OCTemp\Project folder as OCB files. 're-compiling' only occurs when Origin detects an updated/different .C file attached to the project. The functions in the OCB file are accessible straight away.

With OriginPro standalone, I have managed to attach an OP file and call function eg
void test()
{
out_str("Pete is king");
}

straightaway.

With Origin Std client though I was unable to do this. The function appears to not be compiled/recognised. I had initially thought this was something to do with COM functionality accessing a database so tried with basic functions as above. Even simple function above did not work.

Cheers,

Pete

Hi Snow,

Thanks for reply. This problem IS fixed in SR1 - apologies for confusion. I had assumed that my install discs (for group licenses) were SR1. I have added new topic for clarification/info.

Cheers,

Pete
