Hi,
I would like to fit some data to a function, and add a couple limits.
for example, if f(x)<0, then f(x)=0.
Is this possible in Origin?

Hi Bernie,
Sure, you can do this. Use NLSF - the advanced fitting tool. You can refer to the help files on how to create your own custom fitting function.
For example, to fit a straight line, where you want this condition, you would define your function as y=a+b*x; if(y<0){y=0};
The above two-line definition should work either in Origin C mode (versions 7.0 and higher) or in Y-Script mode (for versions below 7.0)
