I have updated Origin from ver.7.0 to ver.7.5. At first everything worked OK but after updating to service patch "OPatch.E75SR0 to SR1" the tick labels disappeared from every chart, both new and old ones.

Hi Sof,

I tried to reproduce the problem you found, but I failed.
I upgraded v7.0sr4 to v7.5sr1 first, and check the tick labels on graphs to make sure they are fine. Then, I downloaded "OPatch.E75SR0 to SR1" from website, and patch v7.5sr1 to v7.5sr2. When I open some old OPJs (with graph windows in them), or new create some graphs in this patched Origin, the tick labels display normally.
Is there something wrong with my process? Could you pls provide the details?

Thanks,
Sammi

Hello, all

had a similar problem even with the graphs ...
Try to delete the labels and even the curves are deleted.

Calling plot dialog and reasigning the graphs newly didn't work! - Only opening a new plot window and defining the plots did help!

Hiding the layer has the effect, that the whole content of the page is hidden even graphic elements are asigned to the page or the window!!

Maybe there's a connection between those effects?!

Hi hajo,

Did you mean that your Origin is also patched from v7.5sr0?
I am sorry, I can't still reproduce the problem your found according to the friendly description.

Thanks,
Sammi

Hello, Sammi

Yes it is! I had the release version (OriginPro7.5) from the beta test and updated that with the SR1.

And after that similar problems as described occure.

Thanks
Hajo

We have had about 4 reports of the following problem:
After applying the Origin 7.5 SR1 patch, then no tick labels display in graphs. Same problem after installing directly from the Origin 7.5 SR1 CD.
---
We are still investigating this problem, but we do know this:
The problem does NOT exist in Origin 7.5 SR0. Therefore, if you installed from SR0 and patched to SR1, you should run Origin's Repair program to return to SR0. This is available by clicking the Start button, and then selecting Programs | OriginLab | Origin 7.5 | Origin 7.5 Add or Remove Files.
If you installed from an SR1 CD, please ask your Origin distributor or OriginLab for an Origin 7.5 SR0 CD.
We are also confident that this problem will not exist in the upcoming Origin 7.5 SR2 patch. Customers who have seen the problem in SR1 have tested in an SR2 development build.

(Hajo - I'm not sure if the problem you report is related.. but I will bring this up with the development team.)

We think we have found an immediate fix to this problem. If you see this problem, please open the Script window in Origin (Window:Script Window) and enter the following:
@sc=1 (then press enter)

If a graph is already active, refresh it (Window:Refresh). You should see the tick labels.

To make this change permanent, open Macros.cnf which is located in your Origin folder in Notepad. Add the following line to the bottom of the file and save.
@sc=1;
Then restart Origin and it will use this value.
