suppose i have 1000 data sets (x,y). now i think the number of data is too high, i just want to plot some of them, e.g. 500, i.e. every other data will be used. or 200 data, i.e. 1 out of 5 will be used. how to do this is orgin.

Format->Layer->Size/Speed, Speed Mode, maximum points per curve = 500 or 200.
