| I have obtained xy columns of data from an image graph by using Digitizer but the x axis values are not evenly distributed since it is very difficult to set the cursor properly. The x values range from 350 to 1000 and the worksheet shows the values like 350, 354.432, 356.987,....etc. I would like to know if there is anything that could give the x values like 350, 355, 360,......,995, 1000 and the corresponding y values. |

Hello,
I presume you have used the Digitizer tool that is available from our File Exchange area. In that tool, you double-click on the curve image to digitize it and get points, and this is why the points are not necessarily evenly spaced, because the value depends on how and where you click.
Now, you could do the following:
With the graph of the digitized data active, select the Analysis->Interpolate/Extrapolate menu item. In the tool that pops up, specify the Xmin, Xmax, and # of pts in the dialog in such a way that the resulting interpolated curve will have evenly spaced X values. For example, you could say xmin=350, xmax=700, and #pts = 8, to give points at x=350,400,450...etc. Note that the resulting interpolated dataset will be obtained by performing linear interpolation on the digitized dataset.
