Hi,

A brief question that is bugging me. In the advanced fitting tool the parameter values of the fit are returned in either decimal of scientific notation. How do I change this threshold? The standard Origin (7) options (in Tools--Options) has no effect. I have a fitting parameter that varies around 1E-5, but the fitting value just tells me 0.00001, which is no use to me.

Many thanks.

Hi jonni,

The settings in Tools->Options will apply to the Parameters worksheet if you create one (NLSF menu: Action->Results and then click on Param Worksheet button).

As for the precision of numbers shown in the NLSF fit page and also for the numbers reported to results log, you will need to set those using the NLSF Control page (NLSF menu: Options->Control). In there you can set significant digits for each parameter separately. These settings will be remembered in the FDF if the function is then saved.
