Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 SR4
Operating System: Win2000

Hi,

I created a template with an x axis break and logscale after break.
I use the linked layer button to add a layer with a linked x axis.

However data plots in the second layer on a normal scale, missing out some data (that 'overlaid' by the left of the axis break).

This seems to be a bug?
I'd apreciate any assistance.

Cheers,

Pete

Hi peter,

I could not reproduce your problem with 7.5Sr4 in E2K system. Maybe I didn't understand you well. Could you please check my steps to see if there are something wrong?

1.Import Axes.dat into a worksheet. Plot a Line graph with Column B.
2.Double click X Axis to open the X Axis - Layer 1 dialog box. On Scale tab, set type as Log2; On Break tab, choose "Show Break" checkbox and click OK button.
3.Click "Add Linked Layer" button to add a new layer linked with X axis on Graph1. (Note: To check the Link status, you can right click on Layer 2 icon and select ¡°Layer Properties¡± from the context menu to open Plot Details dialog. On Link Axes Scales tab, the X Axis link is Straight 1 to 1.)
4.Duplicate AXES worksheet to create a Data2 worksheet.
5.Right click on Layer 2 icon and select ¡°Layer Contents¡¡± from the context menu to open the Layer 2 dialog box. Select ¡°Layer2_b¡± from Available data list box and click ¡°=>¡± button to add it into Layer Contents list box. Click ok button.
The Data plots in layer2 displays fine, and scale type is also Log2. I did not find the problem about 'overlaid' by the left of the axis break.

Thanks,
Sammi
