Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 6.0, SR 4 Operating System: windows XP Pro
Hi, I found the information here how to draw a perfect vertical line. "press shift key + drag one end of the line --> snap line into perfect vertical line.." Well, this method is working well in origin 6.1 version. However, I have tried this method in Origin 6.0 version in windows XP. It is not working.. Can anybody tell me why??? And how can I draw perfect line in version 6.0?? Thanks in advance

Hi Jooho,
As I have no 6.0 version on hand, I can't tell if "press shift key + drag one end of the line --> snap line into perfect vertical line." is a new feature in 6.1 or not. There is a way to create a vertical line with script command. I just tried in 5.0 version. But I think, since it works well in 5.0, it must be fine in 6.0. Here are the steps: 1.Open a new Graph window. 2.Select Window: Script Window menu to open the Script window. 3.Type "draw -n line -l -v 0.5" in the script window, and press Enter key at the end of this line. You will get a vertical line at the point of X=0.5.
Thanks, Sammi |

Hi Jooho,
The Snap vertical and horizontal buttons on the Arrow toolbar also work fine in Origin 6.0.
