Operating System: Win XP

Problems in placing ticks and ticks label on plot axes. I tried to manage it with two XP machines. The first produces ticks - no labels, the second places labels - no ticks. Transfer of graph from machine to machine brings no good, as one becomes then a graph wihout ticks and labels.
Is it only my problem?
