Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7 SR4
Operating System: Windows XP Pro

A pretty short, mundane question: Is there a way to keep the Help window from always staying on top of everything? I'm working through the tutorials, and I can't find a way to toggle an "always on top" option as there is in other applications. Does such an option exist?

Thanks...

Mark

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately, the online Tutorials were built with the Help window's "always on top" property turned on. I reasoned that this would allow users to perform operations in a "maximized" Origin workspace while reading along in the tutorials, but I can see where it might be annoying (Other Origin Help files do not behave this way). There is no way to turn it off once the file is compiled.

What you can do -- and maybe you've discovered this -- is to Hide the Table of Contents pane, freeing up a bit more of your screen.

Incidentally, I am still doing this with Origin 7.5's tutorials. If others find this annoying, let me know and I will stop doing this.

Thanks,

Okay, Mike --

That's what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure. If you're keeping track, I'd vote for the ability to toggle the "always on top" option, myself. I can see when both cases would be appropriate; right now, I'd prefer to have it off.

Thanks a million for replying so fast! Back to tutorializing...

Mark
