Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin Pro 7 SR4
Operating System: WinXP
Hi,
When I try to fit the data using PFM, sometimes I get the following note.
Error 28036. Try setting parameter 'xc_5'as fixed

What is 'xc_5' and what is 'x_5'??

Thanks
Ramki

Hi Ramki,

The parameter xc_5 is probably referring to the centroid value of the 5th peak amongst the many peaks you are trying to fit. For some reason the fit is not converging and the program is suggesting that you try fix this value to a "known" value and try fitting with the rest of the parameters.

You may want to contact tech support with your data and details on what function you are fitting with etc. if you need further help.
