Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 7.5 SR4
Operating System: Win2k

Hi,

The text of all labels get spread like this:

T h i s i s a n e x a m p l e .

It happens to all kinds of legengs, no matter which font we choose: axis, signals, text tool.

In case we use system font it keeps size fronzen (in pixels) even after resizing the page.
Sounds so funny.

We would like to have it work as in the previous Origin Pro version 7.0 SR4, which means no extra, undesirable spacing between letters
of the same word.

Thanks to all in advance,

Ricardo Carneiro

Hi Ricardo,

Are you seeing this on your video screen? In your printout? When you paste your graph into another application?

Also, which View Mode are you using? In other words, if a graph window is active and you select the View menu, you should see a group of items Print View, Page View,Window View,Draft View. Which of them has a check-mark next to it?

Thanks.

Thanks Mike and All!

So sorry for such a basic question! It was in the "wrong" view mode indeed. All I need to do is setting the view mode to Window view to have it shown as wanted.

Best Regards,

Hi Ricardo,

No need for apologies. Some of these View Modes are probably a bit outdated. Personally, I never bother with anything but Print View as it is the WYSIWYG mode. Since it uses the printer driver to create the screen image, it is the best mode to use when looking for precise placement and alignment of text and drawing objects. If your graphs are complex and Print View redraw times are too slow, try Page View. This mode uses the video driver to draw the screen image; it is usually pretty close to WYSIWYG. If looking to optimize screen redraw times, you might want to use Draft View.

Note that Window View does not display anything outside of the graph page (so buttons or text labels in the "gray area" outside the page (but inside the window), do not display. Full Screen is a "view only" mode; the graph is not editable in Full Screen mode.

Finally, I should point out that the View Mode is window-specific; you can set a different mode for each graph window.

This is all summarized in your Help file (index keyword = "Viewing modes"). I hope that this helps.
