Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7
Operating System:win2000

I have been trying to fit two gaussians to some absorbance data to represent the two states of the molecule. Problem is that the 2 gaussians which are returned to me could not possibly sum to my data. I have requested that the image be uploaded, please check back. Actually 3 curves are returned to me, the 2 gaussians and a third red curve which overlaps my data which is in black. What is this line representing? At any given point, it is not the sum of the two gaussians. At each edge, one of the gaussians fits well, but the other does not go to zero. Help.

Hello vrm,

Are you fitting those multiple Gaussians using the Analysis:Fit Multi-peaks menu item? The NLSF (aka the "Advanced Fitting Tool")? The Peak Fitting Module (aka "PFM")?

Hi,

You can now post an image on the forum by just clicking on the "Insert Image" button (7th button) on the Format row when editing your message. There is no need to send the image to us first by e-mail etc.
