Hi,

I searched the web briefly for wft data files and found this page where two different file sources are listed:
http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=WFT

Is your file one of the above types?

Please send one of your files, with any additional information on the file format (which is very important if binary file) to tech@originlab.com so that we can take a look, and please mention this forum post in your e-mail.

I have the same problem. I need to open this type of file. I am using a file generated by a Nicolet Pro Oscilloscope. Can your software open this file.
Thank you.

Hi David,

Nicolet was apparently bought out by the Thermo Electron Corporation and the links to Nicolet found at the URL provided by Easwar no longer work. If you nose around Thermo's web site (www.thermo.com) you'll find they offer (on request) a utility that converts WFT files to SPC, which Origin does import.
http://www.thermo.com/com/cda/resources/resources_detail/1,2166,112300,00.html?fromPage=search&keyword=Nicolet+WFT+Digital+Oscilloscope+Export+File

However, before you go through the trouble of finding the converter I suggest you try to import your WFT file directly to Origin. If WFT files are ASCII the Import Wizard should handle them fine. If they are binary then you need to know the file structure to help the IW read them.
