Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5P
Operating System: W2k

Hi,

I am used from O5-6 to see the layer dialog appear when I double-click on the layer icon. Now I use O7.5 and here everything changed. For my taste not to the better, since i have to hold down the ALT-key everytime I want to access the "Layer" dialog (which I do often), otherwise I come to the "Plot Setup" dialog (which doesn't seem to make big sense to me). Is there a way to swap the assignment of these mouse/key actions?

Hi Marko,

Go to the script window and issue the command:
@LID=1
to make the switch to the old way.

Also, note that you can right-click on the icon and select either Layer Contents or Plot Setup from the context menu.

Hi Easwar,

thanks for the hint.

But it looks like the settings doesn't get saved when I finish Origin... Where do I set the variable safely during startup?

Hi marko:

Open your ORGSYS.CNF file in a text editor (this file is in your Origin program folder) and add something like this to the end of the file:

/* open Layer n dialog with double-click on graph layer icon */
@lid=1;

Save ORGSYS.CNF and restart Origin.
