Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin PRo 7.5 (SR5)
Operating System:Win-XP SP2

I have two questions ...
(a) How does one Write-Protect a worksheet column ??
(b) How and under what conditions does a worksheet column get Write-Protected ??

Hi Ruthven,

This property will be true for columns which have the Auto Update property turned on, which then displays a lock on the column in the GUI.

You can programmatically turn on the auto update using the SetFormulaAutoUpdate method of Column class - this works in 7.5 and is listed in the header file, but did not make it into the CHM file.
