In what sequence should I add the box chart data in Y column? Would it be the minimum in the first line, followed by the first quartile, the median, the third quartile and the maximum? And what about the mean? It is calcullated automaticaly? Is it possible to connect the means by a line? I have the version 8.0724. Thank you.

Hi Gmendrib,

You can simply input the original data, such as {y1,y2,y3...yn}, and then use the plot button or menu to create the box chart directly:
http://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Create-Box-Chart
http://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/BoxChart-Graph
http://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/Box-Plot

Currently, Origin doesn't support to plot box chart from the intermediate statistics results(the first quartile, the median, the third quartile and the maximum).

Please let us know if any other problem.

Thanks,
Shirley
