Need little help!

Can anyone suggest, how can I fit the black curve in Origin? While it can be easy to fit 'region-2' (by exponential growth function), however to fit 'region-1' as well, one need to perform deconvolution (using instrument response). I am unable to fit both "region-1' and 'region-2' simultaneously in Origin lab. Help from anyone would be appreciable. Thanks.

After perform deconvolution what function do you want to fit region-1?

It is supposed that your curve is convoluted from the original signal with Gauss respoinse. What's the function of your original signal? Do you want to perform deconvoluation on region-1 only or on reg-1 and 2?

Can you send your data to tech@originlab.com so I can take a look? If you just want to perform deconvolution on reg-1, please tell me reg-1 is from which row to which row.

Hi Amanda,

No, the curve is not convoluted from the original signal. In fact this curve is my original signal. I wanted to perform deconvolution on region-1 only which has a Gaussian response.

I already sent my data on the above email address with subject "Deconvolution near time-zero". I wanted to perform the deconvolution from row-95 to row-107 in region-1.

Hi,

You want to fit reg-1 with an exponential decay function convoluted with Gauss function. To do this, please select Peak Functions for Category and GaussMod for Function in the Nonlinear Curve Fit dialog to fit reg-1. Please refer to this page for the GaussMod function:

where f1 is the exponential decay function you want.

I tried your data and the result is pasted below:



So the function you want to fit is
f = A/t0*exp(-x/t0)
where A = 21.66637 and t0 = 5.82132
